focus on one folder and get all the settings as you want for all other 
folders

right-click in the columns header and use

Apply current view to / folder and its children

then pick the account name, and (confusingly) the account name again

you may also wish to use "apply columns to ..."



[...] but don't be surprised when you find that your hard work has all 
been undone shortly afterwards


Also bear in mind that the "Date" column can be faked by the sender, 
whereas the "Received" column is the actual date you received it.
