He has bad comprehension skills *and* likes to change topics to things
he at least thinks he understands. It is... a bit odd to say the least.

At the same time I think he DOES have a lot of tech knowledge.

Makes sense. And what you explained to me was concise, on topic, and
explained your situation and the details of the secondary install just
fine.

Diesel has done this with me repeatedly -- assumed that since I did not
speak of tangential content that MUST mean I was not aware of it.

There are times he is right about my not knowing the details as well as
he apparently does. One example is when I noted the commonality of using
a three second press on a power button to turn devices of many kinds
off. This is true. I did not ever say or suggest in any way that the
METHOD by which this works is the same, nor did I suggest it was
different. It was not relevant.

Diesel jumped in assuming that since I did not explicitly say it was
different I must not have known that -- a complete and utter failure on
his part to understand what he read. I was very well aware that this
could be done in different ways. Then he went off on a long tangent
about what the different ways were -- and assuming he was accurate he
knows more about it than I do. Cool he knows more... weird he cannot
understand what he reads and has such a need to try to impress.

I have different bookmarks on different devices on purpose. I look for
different things on my desktop than on my phone.

Diesel is not understanding what you say so he is making tons of false
assumptions based on bits of knowledge he has. In D&D terms he might
have a very high INT but a very low WIS. :)

The Linux repositories are a big benefit to Linux... and something Apple
and MS have moved toward. Nothing wrong with using them!

I use the non-repository version of ScreenFlow, but those that use the
Repository version have to wait a few days for updates. Generally not a
big deal and not worth downloading the other version.

Diesel gets very worked up and brags a lot to try to impress. It is weird.

Diesel is bragging he uses, sigh, his browser history. Really? Does he
not get that a large part of the reason browsers keep such a history is
to allow the very thing being described? It is not like he has found
some clever use for it!

Now if he was merely showing his workflow and asking about how others
did things that would be fine -- but he assumes he is doing something
special. It is weird how he can know so much about computers but be
completely clueless as to how they tend to be used.

I love how Diesel is being so kind as to let his imagined slight "slide"
-- as if he keeps a score card. Yeah... I am like you and don't see the
point to holding grudges. Hell, as you know I have even repeatedly
offered Carroll an olive branch. And I likely will again. And I do with
Diesel, even with his current issues.

He has high INT, but low WIS and CHA.

(To be taken with a grain of salt!)
