The first link sez: PLA is a good alternative to ABS filament. It is 
made from a biopolymer (like corn or sugarcane), easy to print and comes 
in a huge variety of blends. You can have PLA added with metal powders 
(steel, copper, bronze); it can filled with wood, straw, coffee or even 
hemp.
