The best part was you no longer closing the file handle when you finished with it. Your maths had gotten so byte wasteful that you only managed to save a single byte by removing the final file io code. What a trade off. For a script kiddie. ROFL. Did you know (I suspect you did not) that you couldn't have taken your 'demo' and turned it into a subroutine to be called very many times before it would no longer open ANY files? Exhausting all those file handles; because you DIDN'T RETURN ANY OF THEM. And NTVDM isn't going to do so until the entire process terminates, so that wouldn't have saved you either. Mine, OTH, could have been called all day/night long and not have an issue with getting a valid file handle. As, Mine was releasing when finished, as any well behaved properly written program would, by a coder. You got played at your own game. Your demos were weak and continued to reduce functionality, get slower, use more resources. These are NOT traits of a coder. They are that of a script kiddie/wannabe programmer. Explains you well.
