It runs on OS X, too. I used to work for Intuit... pretty much same program
for either platform. But, sure, if that is your need for something other
than Linux than Windows will be much cheaper for that purpose.

In this case I run TurboTax fine on another OS. But Linux has pretty limited
choices.
