The only "mushrooms" growing anywhere on Mt. Baldy are a few scattered tree fungi and toad stools; I would suggest not trying to eat them. Mushrooms currently go for about $3.50 a pound around the area, such as in the market in Mt. Baldy Village, which is less than half way up the mountain. -- Jim Pennino
