Yes they did.  They had matches for every DNA signature except for the
ones that by process of elimination, must have been from the terrorists.

Wrong.  They set up a huge facility on Fresh Kills in Staten Island to
go through everything with a fine toothed comb looking for remains, 
aircraft parts or other evidence.  It is true that the police/fire
objected to that method.
