And when one actually does that, one finds that the accuracy of the
surface temperature stations are quite a bit greater than 1 degree, making
claims of a global temperature estimate to 0.01 degree ludicrous. 
 
This is worse than high school level science; thinking an average value
is more accurate than the raw measurments.
