Is these references are in fact changing slowly their position, than how could you measure this? You would need other reference points, but such points do not exist. Land masses continue to rise and fall as well > as tilt. Even if the amount of water plays a certain role in changes of sea-levels, the main factor is the size of the Earth. If the Earth would grow, the sea-levels had to drop. If the Earth would not grow, the sea-levels would mainly depend of amount of water, global 'climate' and weather. But in a growth scenario the main factor is increasing radius of the Earth surface. TH
