Often, I'm informed about packages which are supposed to be removed from testing and the maintainer might need help. But when I actually look at the referenced but, it is already closed (i.e. false alarm). It would be great if only issues are reported, where actually help is needed. Today the following is displayed: New packages going to be removed from Debian 'testing' (the maintainer migh= t need help): - debmake - https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/debmake - removal on 2025-04-25= (bug: #1100208) Now, when I look at #1100208: Package: src:debmake; Maintainer for src:debmake is Osamu Aoki ; Reported by: Santiago Vila Date: Wed, 12 Mar 2025 16:33:18 UTC Severity: serious Tags: ftbfs, patch, sid, trixie Found in version debmake/4.5.1-1 Fixed in version debmake/4.5.1-2 Done: Chris Hofstaedtler ~~~~ And as stated, this happens quite often. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Locale: LANG=3Dde_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=3Dde_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=3DUTF-8) (ignor= ed: LC_ALL set to de_DE.UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages how-can-i-help depends on: ii libruby3.0 [ruby-json] 3.0.4-8 ii libruby3.1t64 [ruby-json] 3.1.2-8.5 ii ruby 1:3.3+b1 ii ruby-debian 0.3.10+b13 ii ruby-json 2.9.1+dfsg-1+b1 how-can-i-help recommends no packages. how-can-i-help suggests no packages. -- no debconf information --=20 Dr. Helge Kreutzmann debian@helgefjell.de Dipl.-Phys. http://www.helgefjell.de/debian.php 64bit GNU powered gpg signed mail preferred Help keep free software "libre": http://www.ffii.de/ --=_meinfjell-699786-1744366686-0001-2 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCAAdFiEEbZZfteMW0gNUynuwQbqlJmgq5nAFAmf47FwACgkQQbqlJmgq 5nACQQ//TaJIMYBODLgVkgITdDF+BBSQfQ/510k+kBykaNg41HPkowtowlzuLpeT GESQOm7NqJ2yJSIBnwWDBFQsp/neFT44lk9/6ffwjqg6sQnS9yCdNBsTDJGhZ0V+ enl9h9SnB4omHXdAebzE4E0LswXufihxjhjBtB4WOwdJlVlG0vfDCMgQytK/W7Xn gOzIvq9+lo+rTMDcsjQcEm54f1ROKNFJh3JunOXcrKtc5OtVrr/GRbfeM/Ehbaw2 p0EZf8A/KkG4QNVoFKPQcz/4U7DvmIHeS/IySJDU7MCJYBQ92NLTPpcbyo2JpHZI ufSaFi1pBvBo5Q6ygGxbsUSULmnLIbn7v+BUYyNmqsD14tcJz+fMUK+pjvjKE/jh ryG1ktFOJCmJtekKrowSpgtpwMjI2eUe7HG6CWO43HK70pS/qlh/3J0a5VMLx0t7 sRAnGIY2KZtlNx0J6fE3vBmYdK/owT1iThEwRywhk5GnYxSmhyxjrizCZTP4Rhd8 8atHQAXaXX1d1sQHYvb41uER8EtpJk1ZwGISzVT1h5U2zti1/g9LRWJUhh0vS1Ak I+Mzca3qShPiu1P1Pchr5DwoYJSPHQY2kpa6fK6AJG7UcTfN8ulwVHJSDb4mcnDS Twv55SGKu9q9CAQowuLfFn3GbLjvkEfOkxdj9Kcu+jzVXHwrX9M= =gez3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=_meinfjell-699786-1744366686-0001-2--
