A "%" character in the command, unless escaped with a backslash (\), will be changed into newline characters, and all data after the first % will be sent to the command as standard input. ------------------8<-------------------------------- So the line @reboot root echo Logged time =3D %time% %date% >> /home/marc/log.txt is most probably not interpreted as you thought.
