Is the test server an sshd inside Docker? > So,my question is: Is the "LC_ALL=3DC.UTF-8" export to forked bash child = process that run man check? It is. I confirmed that just now by replacing the call to 'man' with '/bin/sh -c "echo $LC_ALL"'. The output was C.UTF-8. > I think is that the screen output of console running Docker inherit the e= n_US.UTF-8 locale from your host, you may run locale to see the LANG in Doc= ker. Is it en_US.UTF-8? Here is the complete output in Docker: root@5fc85dcffb70:/# locale -a C C.UTF-8 POSIX root@5fc85dcffb70:/# locale LANG=3D LANGUAGE=3D LC_CTYPE=3D"POSIX" LC_NUMERIC=3D"POSIX" LC_TIME=3D"POSIX" LC_COLLATE=3D"POSIX" LC_MONETARY=3D"POSIX" LC_MESSAGES=3D"POSIX" LC_PAPER=3D"POSIX" LC_NAME=3D"POSIX" LC_ADDRESS=3D"POSIX" LC_TELEPHONE=3D"POSIX" LC_MEASUREMENT=3D"POSIX" LC_IDENTIFICATION=3D"POSIX" LC_ALL=3D And here on the server: On the host, I use: =E2=9E=A4 locale LANG=3Den_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=3D LC_CTYPE=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_TIME=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_PAPER=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_NAME=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION=3D"en_US.UTF-8" LC_ALL=3D The output from 'locale -a' is too long. I must have 'locales-all' installe= d. Kind regards Felix Lechner
