Bulletin board is easier as you just have to make a port available for incoming connections. List server is a little more complicated as you presumably need to have a mail domain hosted on your Pi (although presumably you could fetch mail from an ISP server if the list server supported this?). Anyway, looking for an easy way to provide a group of people a simple method to discuss stuff. I prefer a bulletin board because this shows history instead of just distributing the current discussion. Although I am obviously well out of date on these things.
