Another day and I can say that the release is very stable, feeling more like a .5 release. Have had no crashes, not even app crashes. There are display issues and I am busy filing lots of bugs. It seems clear to me that this release is paving the way for touch screen Macs, which I really didn’t think Apple would ever do. Might be another 5 years, but somehow I doubt it. The only thing so far I really dislike is that the menu bar items are much wider apart, so there is much less room on the menu bar. The transparent-by-default menu bar is an abomination, but "reduce transparency" takes care of that. -- He felt as if he'd been shipwrecked on the Titanic but in the nick of time had been rescued.
