Use a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (e.g. http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&cs_id=1024606) and plug it directly into your Thunderbolt port. DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort are the same signal, just with a different plug. Fortunately, Thunderbolt uses the DisplayPort protocol for video and is backwards compatible with "legacy" DisplayPort devices, so you won't need a bulky adapter. If you are daisy chaining Thunderbolt devices, see Apple's documentation for additional guidance (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5219?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US#23) Clarus
