I'm going from memory, but I'm pretty certain that the lens they have is *not* stabilized (ie. no VR). It's still been a great camera, up until when it stopped working and they got a quote of $200+ to fix it - if they even can. $700 for a D3200 - including a longer ranged VR lens - starts looking pretty good. They got like 7 years out of the camera, and while not used daily, it was dragged all over the place with the kids. Come to think of it, they may have two lenses. I'm not sure. All the old lens that work on the D-70 should work on a D3200, right?
