This original was copy protected. It did only run on the original 800k
disk. There have been some patches, but they needed a copy of the
program.
I did throw away my original around 1980 after the third replacement by
Microsoft (wear out of the media). Each replacement was waiting 2-3
weeks for a new one. This was no fun at all and one of the reasons, why
we all hated Bill Gates.
