I find these so-called 'everything buckets' that archive files that may be needed in the future and take them away from the daily operating system environment to be quite valuable. I use DEVONthink to organise material for research purposes, where it excels, but I don't think simple archiving of files is where it shines. The features I'm looking for are: 1. The ability to easily archive files, primarily PDFs and images, into a 'database' that hides them from spotlight and the OS. That excludes Eaglefiler. 2. The ability to easily extract file from that archive in their original form. From all I've heard this means Evernote isn't an option. 3. Multiple databases for different areas. This excludes the present version of Yojimbo. 4. The ability to search within files and to tag/keyword them. 5. Actively developed - not necessarily new features, just support for the evolving OS. Any thoughts? -- Cheers, Steve
