Hi all, thanks for your replies and Martin, thanks for the email. After going down what feels like a couple of rather large rabbit holes, I finally go the bottom of the issue. My TaskWindow routines were fine. The issue was with the command I was passing to Wimp_StartTask. I was using a flag to generate a log file. I had not appreciated that the flag was log file or task window output. -- Paul Stewart Sent from A9home running RISC OS 4.42
