The successful candidate will develop and implement parallel multilevel equation solution techniques that work effectively with adapted unstructured meshes. The successful candidate must be able to interact with faculty and students from various departments that will be associated with the development of specific complex applications. The successful candidate will also be required to interact with sponsors. Qualifications: * PhD in Computer/Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering or science discipline * Expertise in parallel methods for the solution of large sparse systems of algebraic equations. * Experience in parallel programming * Strong knowledge of C++ programming languages and UNIX operating system is required * Experience with modern software engineering tools (such as version control) Close Date: Evaluation of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
