You seem to be confusing ("Yeah, *right*!"), the web-mailer 'Gmail' with the MSP (Mail SP) 'Gmail' (or, even worse, the 'app' Gmail). If you're using IMAP (or POP) you're using the MSP 'Gmail', not the web-mailer 'Gmail'. So whether you can do what you want depends on your MUA (Mail User Agent [1] aka 'mailer'), not on the MSP 'Gmail'. Any decent IMAP/POP3 mailer can do what you want. If you 'need' recommendations, I suggest you ask (in 'this' group (CMM) or in a Linux mail(er) group). > ]And stop morphing: this is the sixth address I have for you in my > ]scorefile. > > This forum is for adults to exchange technical info. > If you want to do personality stalking, there are reportedly facilities > elsewhere. EMAK is bad. Your "personality stalking" 'argument' is utterly misguided/misplaced, because it attempts to put blame on the reader instead of on you, the poster. *Your* EMAK behaviour is especially bad, because you keep bringing up the same 'problems' and are not interested in solutions, you only want to hear that your 'problems' are indeed problems, but they never are. Case in point: This very OP. So grow up or shut up. [1] Yes, that is largely simplified. Mind you we're talking to/at Chris Glur! :-(
