Funny suggestion, having in mind that the latest Red Hat went with XFS. I had a bad experience with e4defrag and consider it inferior to the XFS. Here is the relevant part of my fstab: /dev/mapper/fedora-root / ext4 defaults 1 1 UUID=28c8bb15-8ea7-440a-9d7a-5cf7da3f7c76 /boot ext4 defaults 1 2 /dev/mapper/fedora-home /home xfs noatime,nobarrier 0 0 /dev/mapper/fedora-swap swap swap defaults 0 0 /dev/sdb1 /misc xfs noatime,nobarrier 0 0 /dev/sdb2 /data xfs noatime,nobarrier 0 0 /dev/sdb3 /vbox xfs noatime,nobarrier 0 0 [mgogala@medo ~]$ Wherever I could have avoided Ext4, I did. -- Mladen Gogala The Oracle Whisperer http://mgogala.byethost5.com
