He grew disenchanted with the Republicans and formed the Bull Moose (Progressive) Party. He got more votes in 1912 than the Republican candidate but the split put Woodrow 'He Kept Us Out of War' Wilson in power. Of course, he didn't keep us out of war. The US is 250 years old and it's time to retire.
