Recently a redditor was complaining about the number of different banks in town, with new ones being constructed. There are almost as many as marijuana dispensaries. The last time I was in a bank was about 3 years ago when I went in to rearrange a CD. For some reason 7 month CDs have a higher interest than longer term. I can understand why they're preferred with a volatile economy but 7 months? When I asked I didn't get a coherent answer but didn't pursue it.
