I just checked at CM (one of our sick funds in Belgium). In case of urgent transport with a helicopter they will pay back half of what is charged. You need to be a member of a sick fund. CM charges 9,99 euro/month. You can also pay for a hospital insurance (which is advised) for which they charge 4,46 euro/month or more. Depends on your age and on which insurance plan. Sick funds usually have a basic plan (which is good) and another plan which offers more than the basic plan. What they can charge per kilometre is fixed by law: - 80,97 euro for the first 10 km; - 8,08 euro starting at 11 km; - 6,18 euro starting at 21 km. Mind you, this is /urgent/ (medical) transport. I'm not sure about a /rescue/. When abroad there's an insurance like Europ Assistance: -- s|b
