If anyone is thinking about boots on the ground Iran is one of the most mountainous countries in the world. As the US found out in Afghanistan when you play with the locals on their own turf they will hand you your ass. Best hang around the green zone in Kabul and come up with a good story for the US people about what you're doing for 20 years before handing the country back to the Taliban.
