Do you use the Nautilus file browser? I think it's for Gnome but should work with XFCE too. When started the new device should show in the left pane of it. If not, type mount in a shell and see if it shows up there. If not there is a problem with USB and mounting devices. -- Andreas I use a Unix based operating system, which means I get laid almost as often as I have to reboot my computer.
