I tried to install/disinstall hplip, ghostscript-gpl, dbus and cups several times, purging configurations files, without success. I tried to re-run hp-setup after every installation, in order to install the required propietary plugin. I tried too to use old versions of each package, with the same result. My distribution is a Gentoo, but i tried to use, other than the gentoo packages, the source tarball downloaded from this site. When i try to print something, using my unix account or the root one, i receive in the Web GUI the following message: "/usr/libexec/cups/filter/hpcups failed" This is the output of hp-check command; http://moonchild.it/hplip/hpcheck.txt Here the error_log: http://moonchild.it/hplip/error_log.txt This is a file I have saved during some try: http://moonchild.it/hplip/troubleshoot.txt I don't know if the crash of hpcups with signal 11 concerns something (referring to the error_log posted above). I am desperate, thanks for your attention... -- MoonChild Togliere nospam per l' esatta e-mail
