Before my time, I guess. If you can find it it's worth watching. Leon Uris wrote the book and was supposed to write the screenplay. Uris was very anti-Brit and anti-Arab so Preminger fired him and hired Dalton Trumbo. Trumbo had been a popular screen writer in the '40s but was a member of the CPUSA. During the HUAC years he spent time in prison for contempt of court and was blacklisted in Hollywood. He did some screen plays that he was not credited with but 'Exodus' was the first where he was openly acknowledged as the writer. The 'Theme from Exodus' was an instrumental and charted #2 on Billboard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT3-mOHqva8 Pat Boone wrote lyrics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTYCoIyLZlw Boone is a good little goy. https://www.jpost.com/omg/pat-boones-gift-to-israel-556574
