The Xperia 1 VI > was released in June 2024 and will by "end-of-life" in April 2028. That used to be the only disadvantage of Sony phones. But AFAIK, it has improved with the latest 1 VIII. Anyway, after "end-of-life" I plan to install another OS. The phone is rootable, unlocking the bootloader is even supported by the company. I'm also surprised by the low battery consumption. The battery could easily survive a 5-day festival, the level went from 80% to 40% in 5 days. But that may be due to the fact that I have about everything in dark mode, so the battery consumption of this OLED screen is almost zero.
