It's a simple principle that has > been around for decades. Its not that simple and hasn't been for decades with the free local calls that were so all pervasive in the USA. And that's all changed even more now with unlimited calls and texts and MMSs to any landline or mobile in the country and for just $10/month now. Much cheaper after inflation than landlines used to be.
