Web > application will be PHP running on Apache web server The first scanner is an RS-232 one. You'll need to catch the incoming data off the serial port. There's a "php-serial" class out there, but I've never had a use for it, so I don't know much about it. The second can have a keyboard wedge and thus requires no special programming. You'll just pretend that someone using the scanner typed the barcode value. Unless the customer has only an RS232 for the scanners, in which case you're back to the class above. -- 40.
