Because before one can produce a piece of code, you'll need to know the syntax. I don't know exactly how Javascript works, to be honest. How on earth would I write a piece of code in it? First learn the syntax, then you can write something. > A course of Sanskrit would be nearly as usefull. Perhaps not, but maybe very interesting. > Javascrit is NOT a scriptform of Java. But sometimes I feel a bit old all of a sudden, especially when I see that many youngsters are much more capable of programming something than I am. But to start learning Javascript? As a matter of fact I never liked programming. I wrote many Unix shell scripts once. And I did some Pascal. What I liked was writing complex batch files for 4DOS, and I still do for the TC/LE command processor from JP software. And I liked programming BASIC. But that's a long time gone. But those were the only exceptions I really liked programming. >> No, I don't see that as a possibility. Neither did I want to exchange >> complete scripts. But anyway, I got my ancient Javascript running! And I'm quite pleased with it. Fokke
