Correct. There are different JScript versions as there are versions of IE/MSHTML, WSH and ASP (.NET) to support them. [1] The reader should become acquainted with that fact, or they will never be able to write scripts that work in different versions of IE/MSHTML, WSH or ASP (.NET). A problem occurs with JScript 9.0 and 9.1, though, because Microsoft in their infinite wisdom[tm] have decided for the new version of the MSDN Library to document that language version misleadingly as “Microsoft implementation of JavaScript”, while it is nowhere near the capabilities of (Mozilla) JavaScript [2].
