I'd call a group of abstraction units a component, a component may 
indeed be an abstraction at the higher level but it's built up of finer 
grained abstraction units.

'class' and 'interface' are just names given to abstraction units to 
enable us to talk about them. The name tells us what it is we are 
talking about (explicitly).

It's quite a high level view I admit and can certainly be overloaded.
