Traditionally this has been known as providing an SSCCE (Short, Self Contained, Correct Example) but when I looked for it just now the well- known sscce.org domain, which used to explain how to make an SSCCE, now points at https://coderanch.com/ - which apparently doesn't say what an SSCCE is. ========= The only online SSCCE definition I can find at present is on Roedy's site at http://mindprod.com/jgloss/sscce.html I notice that Stackoverflow now seems to be pushing the use of the very similar MCVE http://stackoverflow.com/help/mcve as its replacement. -- martin@ | Martin Gregorie gregorie. | Essex, UK org |
