I've certainly had more Fords than anything else, though all have been Euro Ford (Sierra, Escort III RS Turbo, and now a Focus), interspersed with assorted Fiat, Vauxhall and a long wheel base Landrover Series 2b > But an interesting article, thanks. > Yes, I thought so. There is quite a bit of stuff out on the net about the Fireballs 1 and 3. The other car I'd like to see is the Rover Jet-1. It was built in 1950, so is the world's first jet-powered road car: the Firebird 1 appeared in 1953. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rover.jet1.jpg And, do you know about the Rover-BRM, which ran at Le Mans in 1963 and 1965. I didn't. Its quite a beast, still exists and is being restored to a roadworthy state. Here's a road test. Well worth a read..... http://www.sportscars.tv/Newfiles/roverbrm.html -- martin@ | Martin Gregorie gregorie. | Essex, UK org |
