Of course, you're blaming all that crap on the faults of other systems, but that doesn't change the fact you just admitted to coding a bunch of crap. Dude, sometimes you're so irrational it's unreal. The test suites you just riled against are the only thing that is helping to eliminate your two complaints: 1) "work-arounds for bugs in the Forth systems" 2) "bad design in ANS-Forth itself" The test suites find the bugs in Forth systems and reveal the bad-design of ANS-Forth.
