It probably didn't back then; the git head version supports pthreads, and we have atomic versions of memory exchange, increment+exchange and conditional exchange. > Transparency is always good, and these very simple tools would make > the system more transparent. (It is possible that adding LOCATE to > Gforth would not be simple; I don't know.) Actually, it's dead easy. Just have your emacs open with a server started and forth mode loaded, and call sh emacsclient -e '(forth-find-tag "wordname")' I'll add that in a minute (for git head Gforth): \ view/locate require string.fs : view ( "name" -- ) [: ." emacsclient -e '(forth-find-tag " '"' emit parse-name type '"' emit ." )'" ;] $tmp system ; That at least fits my workflow with emacs open and Forth in the terminal. Current git head also has an alias LOCATE for VIEW. If someone knows how to remote control info mode - (Info-topic "foo") works only in interactive mode, not with emacsclient - I could add a HELP function that way, too. -- Bernd Paysan "If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself" http://bernd-paysan.de/
