My system was installed for me, including gnuplot. Can I find out whether it is in the repository? I am thinking that if it is, I could remove gnuplot and then install it again, using apt-get, and that might work better. Actually I don't often plot directly on the terminal, usually into an eps file, and that works. -- Dieter Britz
