Open source apps that are reliable any sufficiently widely spread are indeed an interesting option. But the requirement of an external program (unless being smoothly invoked) would disrupt the workflow in gnuplot. These options should be judged by developers. My statement was simply that non-perspective 3d is insuffient for many, if not most purposes. Best wishes, Ingo
