How often has this been asked now? *Yes* it is. Official statement from Mozilla: "Microsoft ended official support for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 in January of 2023. Unsupported operating systems receive no security updates and have known exploits. With no official support from Microsoft, maintaining Firefox for obsolete operating systems becomes costly for Mozilla and dangerous for users." https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support So you have two options: - Get a (relative) up to date system¹, download the actual Firefox, get used to it and move on. (¹The system doesn't have to be Windows.) - Or stick with an outdated Firefox browser on an unpatched and insecure system you are "used to". In real life it doesn't matter which of both has more security holes.
