So you might be more lucky than with SpeedFan. > > Don't be put off by the 'Control' bit, because you can also just > measure the fan speed (in percentage). > > [1] Just a follow-up, I found from reliability monitor that nbfcservice.exe was crashing several times per minute, so had to remove it, I also removed speedfan and hwmonitor, unfortunately something has left the machine prone to bug-checks :-(
