Ah so, , ,   and sure enough when I tried downloading Firefox from
<https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/>
with my Win 7 machine I was offered version 43.0.4
and when I tried the same DL link on my Win XP-SP2 machine and I was 
again offered version 43.0.1

If it's not a *BUG* but a *FEATURE* ISTM they should add that 
information to the web page.and revise the bug reports to indicate the 
actual situation
