I'm seeing ancient posts - mostly via GG - polluting a few Groups today. 
  See: comp.lang.fortran -

or <78117ca3.0312181119.505041c@posting.google.com> (not spam, but 
posted 22 years ago).
All of these posts went to multiple groups, and 
<oiaprn$u28$1@news.albasani.net> (dated 2017) went to around 20.

Eternal September suppressed all of them, even the ones which only went 
to two groups.
