No they're not. The meaning of IDE extends beyond the words "Integrated 
Drive Electronics". It includes a full interface specification which 
evolved into the standard now known as Parallel ATA. SCSI and SAS 
devices clearly do not adhere to this specification.

Or by their partition label or partition UUID whenever available.
