It is clear to see that they are very careful how they parse their ideas. I am familiar with the verbiage because I visited my family behind the slightly relaxed iron curtain three times in the 1980's and once in 2000 after the iron curtain had dropped. It is surprising because of the wonderful reports he gives about You Tube but he doesn't appear to utilize it other then to promote himself. I found this channel interesting, ordinary Russians (sometimes) giving their opinion about the current "draft." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqPUZlTlYa0 And this is a discussion about some cultural differences by a college aged student. My original home country used to send out an annual book about themselves during the 1950's. The first thing I noticed was that in all the photos nobody was smiling, In fact during my four visits to see family there was never a single smile by any of them. So it is a cultural thing that I always attributed o never letting others know what you were feeling or thinking.
