You can sometimes see a spur not resonate as badly with something plugged into the now unused phone socket. > and for an experiment I just now ran cable from first point of entry to > modem And what happened to the synch rates show on the modem web page when you did that ? That’s much better measure of what is happening cabling wise than any speedtest results. And the speedtests need to be done with a wired connection, not over wifi. Wifi just adds another variable. >> Strictly speaking you need to use a licensed cabler >> to electrically disconnect all the sockets except the >> one used by the modem but its very easy to do. > PS I was in the electrical game, probably why I left the lines going > everywhere,I will probably reconnect it all from the phone out on the > modem when I get a tuit I just ran a line to the PoC which quite literally just lies in the floor under the junk in the house. Proper phone cable. Did that way back in the adsl days and still use it now. Testing by MR presumably you mean. > So now have to wait for NBN tech, and so no catch up tv for a while, (3 gb > on phone wont get me far) But your speedtest.myreplublic.com.au numbers were 14G which is plenty for that. Mine was fine at 8GB on my adsl2+ service.
