There is no time limit on the statutory guarantee.

You can't even grasp the difference between
that and the manufacturer's stated warranty.

Apple gets no say what so ever on our law.

And Apple is just plain wrong about who is responsible
for fixing the problem with an iOS upgrade anyway.

So the guarantee that matters in this situation is on iOS
and that is both provided by Apple and its Apple that
gets to fix the problem that the upgrade produces.

There is a guaranteed that an iOS update will either allow the
ipad to continue to be used, or Apple has to provide a mechanism
whereby the previous version that worked fine can work again.
