RISC OS North exhibition announced for March 29th 2025

We are pleased to announce a new RISC OS exhibition taking the place of 
the much-loved Wakefield Show of previous years - RISC OS North.  Sadly 
due to rising costs, the Wakefield organisers have had to bow out this 
year, but approached us to take over the reins to ensure the continuity of 
the show.

RISC OS North will take place a little earlier - March 29th - to ensure 
spacing between the various RISC OS events (eg. Netherlands show in May, 
London show in October), and comes west, over the Pennines to Warrington.  
We've endeavoured to maintain Wakefield's high standard of venue which 
will be:

     Village Hotel Warrington
     110 Centre Park Square
     Warrington
     WA1 1QA

Date:  Saturday 29th March 2025

The event will take place in the spacious Inspiration Suite, towards the 
rear of the hotel, with entry (including disabled) through the front.

Warrington is well served by public transport with two stations.  
Warrington Bank Quay is on the west coast main line, and Warrington 
Central is on the Manchester-Liverpool East/West line.  Both are within 
walking distance (very much so for Bank Quay) although we'd probably take 
a bus from Central.

Warrington is served by both Manchester and Liverpool airports.

Food/drink will be available in both the restaurant and Starbucks (both 
situated on either side of the hotel lobby).

There is also a more affordable hotel / eatery / pub across the street 
(The Waterside) for those looking for other options.


Whilst we have already reached out to many former exhibitors, if you've 
missed your invite, or would like to exhibit for the first time, please 
contact either Richard Brown of Orpheus or Andrew Rawnsley of R-Comp to 
discuss your requirements.

Further note - for reasons of viability/planning there will no longer be a 
SouthWest Show.  We apologise to anyone looking forward to that event.  
The focus will be on delivering a great show for RISC OS North to give 
developers time between events to prepare exciting products.
